realme M1 Sonic Electric Toothbrush Review

realme finally ventures into lifestyle by adding AIOT products and one of them is the realme M1 Sonic Electric Toothbrush.

Unboxing:

The realme M1 Sonic comes in an elongated rectangular box in its signature yellow color. There is an encasing to hold the toothbrush base, with two different brush heads (regular and sensitive) and a charging stand bundled inside two separate boxes.

Design:

The design is sleek and minimalist and the toothbrush doesn’t appear cheap or bulky. The in-hand feel of the toothbrush is comfortable and not flimsy.

The M1 Sonic is divided into two parts: (1) the detachable brush head and (2) the bottom cylindrical part with a single button to start/stop, followed by four LEDs indicative of the four modes (Soft, Clean, White Polish) and a green LED for the battery. It comes in two color options: White and Blue and I got the latter one.

You will also get two brush heads (regular and sensitive) with Dupont bristles that are inclined at an angle of 10 degrees. The bristles on the regular one come with a blue indicator, which acts as a reminder for you to change it when it fades.

The M1 Sonic comes with a high-frequency Sonic motor to vibrate 34,000 times/minute. The motor makes less than 60dB of noise, making usage interruption-free. The bristles on the brush heads are 99.9% anti-bacterial.

The M1 Sonic has an 800mAh battery that supports wireless charging. As per realme, the wireless dock takes 4.5 hours to recharge the M1 Sonic from flat to 100%, though I haven’t charge mine since It’s still fully charged.

The M1 Sonic also comes with IPX7 water resistance for cleaning the bristles with water easily and has a 1-year warranty.

Realme claims that the M1 Sonic uses Dupont Bristles that has 99.99% antibacterial properties. The brush head has 98% end-rounded bristles that prevent any oral injuries. Realme ships two brush heads in the box- Regular and Sensitive. The blue indicator bristles fade in color to inform you about the life of the brush head.

It has a skin-friendly coating and support for (4) types of cleaning modes:

  • Soft mode for sensitive teeth
  • Clean mode for daily use
  • White mode for deep cleansing
  • Polish mode for shining teeth.

How to use:

All you need to do is apply a thin strip of toothpaste on your premoistened toothbrush then press the physical button on it depending on which cleaning mode your prefer, and your 2-minute brushing begins. To change the modes, you just need to tap once for your desired mode after switching it on.

I have sensitive teeth so I always prefer soft brushes, good thing that they have different modes unlike the my different brand of electric toothbrush that I am using.

After trying it for days, I noticed that the M1 Sonic has an automatic cutoff at the 2-minute mark, with 30-second haptics to remind you to switch and move to a different area. I am really impressed with the cleaning offered by the M1 Sonic not experience any discomfort while using it.
