XTREME MF-4900s 49-inch Smart TV – 4K Ultra HD Review

Before the community quarantine was announced here in Metro Manila, I got a chance to be chosen to review the XTREME MF-4900s 49-inch Smart TV. It felt great because I’ll have the chance to fully enjoy the specification of it and have some time to catch up with the trending movies and series on Netflix. I also found out that this Smart TV is budget-friendly and priced at only Php 22,995.

If you’re not familiar with the brand, XTREME established in 2013 under the Suntouch Technology Corporation. As their hashtag says #OneStopShopAppliances, they have air-conditioner, Smart TVs, washing machines and more.

So now let’s talk about the XTREME MF-4900s 49-inch Smart TV, shall we?

Unboxing:

Aside from the TV, the box contains two remote contols, power cable, warranty, manual, TV stand and two tripple A batteries.

Design:

Taking it outside of the box can be hard for one person because it tends to be heavy and needs to be extra careful when handling it. I believe the stand is made out of metal and sturdy enough to carry the TV. It also make a classic statement to the overall look though it can be tricky at first to assemble.

After assembling the stand, the TV set-up process is surprisingly easy. All you need to do is plug the television then use the bigger remote control to configure and finish the set-up process.

Me and my husband wowed on the overall look of the TV. I’m quite surprised because considering the price it was made of sophisticated design. It has mettalic silver finish, slim back panels, and the ulta-thin bezels made the display look wider and the thick border doesn’t distract the viewing aspects. I think the thick border justifies because of the built-in speaker.

The branding is made of silver lining and located at the middle front of the built-in speaker. It also has the LED indicator when it’s plugged. Looking at the back, it houses the following ports: USB 2.0, LAN, optical cable, 3 HDMI ports, AV-IN, ajh23w,kntenna, Line Out. If you want to plug in a TVPlus or other media players, the traditional AV port is for that. The 3.5mm headphone port and an optical out are included, in case the user prefers to connect the TV with external speakers. It also has the a sticker that indicates the TV’s internals and the regulatory information.

Since me and my husband are into gaming and streaming, I like the fact that it has multiple ports. Plus, we won’t have difficulty on plugging because it has clear labels.

In case you misplaced both remote controls or ran out of batteries, no need to worry because there’s still a way to navigate it. It’s located at the back right portion of the TV.

In all parts, I can say that considering it’s affordable, it also has an excellent build and design compared to the other brands in the market today.

Performance:

The UHD display spans at 49-inches, with a 4K UHD resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, plus HDR support. The 4K Ultra High Definition of this XTREME TV could translate into more pixels and higher resolutions, resulting in improved picture quality.

The colors are vibrant enough and it has the right amount of saturation. The display quality is fantastic for me considering its price.

For the built-in speaker, I’m amazed that it surpassed my expectations. It offers full quality sound, loud volume, with nice clarity and audible bass.

Since it’s a Smart TV, it can be connected to the internet for you to enjoy streaming series or watching Netflix. For internet connection, you can choose from cable connection or WiFI since it has a built in WiFI. It also has a pre-installed Netflix and YouTube which you can easily navigate using the bigger remote control. You can also download other streaming devices, and other apps via the Apps store.

Since I mentioned that there are two remotes included, the bigger remote control is the standard one where you can find all the necessary buttons for TV navigation and the smaller one is only for the essential buttons for Netflix streaming.

Overall, if you’re looking for budget-friendly Smart TV the Xtreme is what you’re looking for. It gives you a full cinematic experience at home with enjoyable big display and great audio. It’s actually a good reason to spend time at home since we’re on community quarantine.
