Metrobank accountholders can enjoy FREE InstaPaytransfers using the new Metrobank App when they Send Money for transactions worth PHP1,000 and below from today until September 30, 2023.
This is in support of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ thrust to encourage more Filipinos to take advantage of the convenience of online payment transactions. It is also part of the bank’s move to provide smart, simple, and secure banking services to its clients through the new Metrobank App.
Make sure to download the app from the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the Huawei AppGallery and update it to the latest version (ver 1.7.1) so you can Send Money for FREE via InstaPay. This is applicable only to transactions amounting to PHP 1,000 and below. For scheduled transfers, regular transfer fees still apply.
Follow these simple steps for your InstaPay transaction:
1. Open the new Metrobank App and tap Send Money icon in the bottom tab.
2. Enter details such as the source account, transfer amount, recipient. Please note that PHP 1,000 and below transactions are eligible to avail of the waived InstaPay fee.
3. Tap ‘Immediate’ button.
4. Enter Purpose.
5. Tap ‘Next’.
6. Review details, then tap ‘Confirm’. An OTP will be sent to your registered number. Do not share this to anyone.
7. Input the OTP, and you’re done! You should see that PHP 0.00 InstaPay fee is reflected in the transaction details page.
You’ll also receive an SMS notification about your transaction.
