Salon Review: My Eyebrows on Fleek after the 3D Eyebrow Embroidery at Eyebrowdery

Salon Review: My Eyebrows on Fleek after the 3D Eyebrow Embroidery at Eyebrowdery

As they say, you can be ready to face the world if you have a perfectly arched eyebrows. It has been one of the things I am crazy about, I always check out some of the make up products for me to achieve my eyebrow goals. I admit that I have a lot of eyebrow pencils on my make up kit.

Let’s face it, not all of us are blessed with a perfectly arched eyebrows and I am one of them. Maybe one of the reason why I love eyebrow pencils and watching youtube tutorials because I really wanted it.

Klarisse Yu Tabao, is the owner and the one who do the 3d embroidery. Her inspiration to build up the Eyebrowdery? It was none other than her mother. According to Klarisse, her mother’s brow tattoo gone red, this became her motivation in putting up this kind of salon. She studied and trained her expertise in Singapore.

Eyebrow Embroidery is a semi-permanent tattoo that may last up to 3-5 years. It is done by adding natural pigment from plant extracts to the skin. This technique fills in empty slots on your brows to give them a full flawless look (a hair like pigment so it looks more natural).

Before the procedure, I had signed an assessment form. This data makes it easy for them to evaluate the client whether you are qualified for the procedure. The form consists of your physical history and familiar history, it also includes waiver  (that you fully understand the procedure) and after care treatment. The procedure was also contraindicated to pregnant and lactating women so better be honest when answering the form.

Since I am wearing an eyebrow make up that time, they first cleanse the area to completely reveal my real brows. So there you go! Here’s my real ugly eyebrows. Haha!

The first thing Ms. Klarisse did was measuring my eyebrows. She also asked my if I have eyebrow goals that I wanted to achieve. After that she outlined my eyebrows and make me check it from time to time to make sure that I agree with it. This serves as her pattern for the 3d embroidery procedure. Honestly, what I really wanted is to make it longer and aligned well.

Then the staff put a topical anesthesia to numb the eyebrow area. It was applied on my left eyebrow first and let it effect for 30 minutes then the right eye after. This was done so that it’ll not wear-off as the procedure goes on. All of us have different pain tolerance, so in case you can feel pain during the procedure, you can inform Klarisse so that she can apply numbing cream on the area. But if you’ll asked me, I did experience a little pain but it was tolerable. According to them, there are some cases that some clients fell asleep during the procedure.

The instrument Klarisse used for the procedure (yes, she’s the one who’s performing the 3d eyebrows) was like a pen. It has a vegetable dye which is natural and organic. And for the safety of the instruments, it was very safe and sterilized before use and disposed after use.

According to her, the difference between the tattoo eyebrows to 3d eyebrows is that the tattoo eyebrows are permanent in brow shape and structure but then when it fades off it turns into color green, blue or red whereas 3d eyebrows is a semi-permanent tattoo drawn as a hairline stroke using a dye pigment for a more natural looking brow.

After the procedure, it looks more darker but only lasts for 3-5 days, depending on one’s healing process. But once it healed, it will look like more natural and lighter, and you don’t need to put the eyebrow pencil and have a #WokeUpLikeThis moment. (I am looking forward to that since it is my 4th day)

The after care was very important, I have taken home an antibiotic in an ointment form. I’ll be applying this to my eyebrows twice a day using cotton buds. I should also avoid washing my face or physical activities that will make me sweat. Aside from the two, I can live normally. I know cleansing your face was not easy but the sacrifice is just for 7 days, after that you can ready to face the world with a bolder eyebrows.

Expect a temporary darker eyebrows (actually my nephews are teasing me that I have a brows like betty la fea), but that is very normal. When it peeled off, it may feel itchy but don’t scratch it because it is part of the healing process. They also informed me that the true effects will show up  after 4-6 weeks. The procedure takes only for two hours, so better yet free your schedule!

Unlike what they said that I’ll experience redness, itchiness and tenderness on the area, I’m lucky I didn’t experience it.  It’s like a normal day for me. I’m really lucky that I don’t have sensitive skin, it just heals without irritation. To coincide my darker eyebrows, I applied eye make up so that my brows won’t highlight my face. Well, its my 7th day of having the 3d eyebrows but still on its recovery process. I’ll update this blog after my eyebrows are already settled.
