My Fabulous Hair Make Over at The Jing Monis Salon

My Fabulous Hair Make Over at The Jing Monis Salon

I admit, my hair is very dry and brittle because of endless retouching of hair color. To tell you honestly, I haven’t achieved my dream hair. Everyone’s crowning glory is their hair, and all of us can’t complete the overall style without fixing our hair before we go out.

Christmas is fast approaching and from my observation, women rule the salons this december. Majority of customers in salons are women, having hair rebond, hair color, brazillian blowout, hair treatment, and etc. If you really want to achieve the satisfaction, you need to research more, (you don’t want to ruin your hair and accept the complications). Sometimes, you really get what you pay for, I experienced it from low end salons that promises an affordable payment but expect a more drier and brittle hair after few days of the treatment.

It was one of my dreams that Jing Monis will retouch my hair (glad I was invited as one of the bloggers to have a hair makeover), he made Anne Curtis (my favorite peg) have her new look. My dream came true when I had my hair colored and treatment at Jing Monis Salon in Bellevue Hotel, Alabang. It’s not literally Jing Monis who did the color of my hair but the fact that his staff whom I’m pretty sure that he trained well.

According to Sir Mandy, Senior Hair Stylist, my hair is too dry and I really badly needed a hair treatment. Honestly, after having disappointments from all the salons I went, I was the only one who put treatments on my hair at home.

According to Sir Ian, Ombre hair coloring is like a painting, you need to be creative and artistic to produce a magnifiscent art.

Hair Color: Absolute Color by Schwarzkopf Professional

Hair Treatment: Macadamia Natural Oil Treatment

Creative Team:

Creative Stylist: Mandy Sierra

Junior Stylist: Ian Sandajan

What they actually done to my hair is the Ombre Hair color, with a touch of highlights. They also did some hair cut to those brittle ends of my hair just to let go of the dryness. It was really the most adventurous thing I’ve done for my hair since I always had a traditional hair color. They also mixed a little amount of bleach to the hair color and waited for 3 minutes after the application of hair color. The great thing about it was that even if my hair grows, I don’t need to retouch it. I can regain my black hair if ever I wanted to stop the hair coloring.

Note: My hair was still straight, this was just styled by Sir Ian just to create a drama and highlighted the color of my hair.

After 24 hours, I put shampoo and conditioner on my hair just like normal days, i didn’t have trouble of  waiting 2-3 days of not putting a shampoo, for the past 24 hours i only used a conditioner. I was really amazed because even I use shampoo, the colors doesn’t come with the water, unlike my previous experiences. My hair is softer and more manageable, feels like my hair before when it was not color treated and untouched.

My Fabulous Hair Makeover at The Jing Monis Salon.

Here are some important things I learned from my Hair Makeover:

  • Always make sure to have your hair cut every 2 months (i know this is difficult, but this one is a must because it removes the split ends of our hair)
  • Hair can be damaged not only from undergoing hair coloring, hair rebonding and etc., but also with the shampoo, conditioner, endless hair blow dry, hair curling or hair straightening that uses heat,
  • You should use shampoo for only 4 times a week so that the natural oil won’t be removed, and also use a shampoo  and conditioner that was recommended for your hair type. You should apply shampoo to the hair scalp to condition your hair starting from the ends.
  • Avoid using friction when drying your hair.
  • Don’t let your hair exposed in too much sun, use a protection like umbrella because it can trigger the drying of your hair.
  • Make sure to have your hair treatment every month to maintain the softness of your hair.

Recommendation:

I highly recommended Jing Monis Salon, not just because of the fabulous make over but also with the friendly and the patience they gave me (because I asked too many questions during the makeover). This was actually the first time I’ve been amazed and satisfied with my hair. It was the most adventurous but the thing was I got the excellent service, kudos to my creative team Sir Manny and Sir Ian of The Jing Monis Salon.
